Summer Smoothies

I have been making smoothies like a mad woman this summer. I LOVE treating myself and my hubby with something that we enjoy and is good for us. I have found a perfect “base” to my smoothie and then I add whatever I’m in the mood for. Here are the things you are going to need to get your smoothie game on point. 

Base:

1 1/4 cup Water (filtered) and a handful of ice

1/2 cup Yogurt (Greek Gods in “honey” is bomb) 

1 scoop Whey Protein  (I buy the bulk from Sprouts)


Current Add-ins:

-Strawberry/ Banana: 7 strawberries and 1 1/2 banana (below)

-Peanut Butter/ Banana: 1 large scoop pb and 1 1/2 banana (below)

– Pineapple/ Banana/ Coconut: 1 cup pineapple, 1 1/2 banana, 2 spoons of coconut (below)

So, as you can see once you get the base then the magic is all yours! Be creative, have fun! With all these recipes it makes 2- one for me and one for the hubs. He loves all of them but the Peanut Butter/Banana is his fav (and I’d have to agree–it’s amazing).
